On this first edition of Mara's Classic Movie Collection, we have Deadpool, Deadpool & Wolverine and Dead Poet's Society in the spotlight. Ready to find out if they're worth the hype from my eyes? DEADPOOL This was a recommendation by Gifty and I have to say... Well! I feel mature. This was the Deadpool I knew from childhood in the X-men cartoons. He didn't change; red, nonchalant in the face of death and a good swordsman. One change though, he's fouler than I remember.  I love the concept of him not trying to be a hero. That's the real personality of Deadpool as I can remember. They also kept the humour. Deadpool in the middle of a multi-car collision  wondering if he left the stove on. •A small part of me wanted to weigh in

•But his love was already in my vein

•A chain of rain stained hurricane couldn't even make me exclaim


•Narcissus

•It only made more sense

•As the pastor continued his ceremonial cleanse

•The greek native reminded me of the greek god

•It couldn't be a coincidence, he had to be a fraud


•Midsummer's cool breeze couldn't stop us

•Bounds no knew elation my thus

•But Disney's 'meant to be' label once again proves a curse

•A false facade his reflection weighed in pounds


•I had a conviction the minute my left hand met his cheeks

•How lucky I was to be at the top of his pick

•But a different conviction of mine was at its peak

•Leaving me in sheer and utter trick


•Her voice echoed in my ears

•To my boisterous list I added another fear

•He brushed her claims aside without care

•And reassured me with his lips to my ear


•I am my own master

•I told the lying bastard

•As the curtains of this poem comes downward

•The 11th line of this poem was written backward

Mara took a deep breath. She fingered her mouse and pulled the cursor to the left side of the screen. She touched the icon, "Submit now." As usual, it was beeping rhythmically, copying the pounding heart beats of tense students who sweated over their exam questions. Ifeanyi gave the call and his colleague leaned and peered into the camera while Ifeanyi looked ahead. Seated before the crew in PG building were two Jacksonites. Nick, the first, was the tall, dark and handsome leader of the 025 media team. He was the host of the show, Talk with 025. To fit into his role, he was dressed in his departmental uniform. Also, it was a Monday. Stasia however was dressed in black palazzo pants and a beautiful vintage shirt. Her hairdo was a bunch of colourful plaits packed in a ponytail. A NIGHT OF FOREVER Anaelechi Miracle Smart Smart Anaelechi (Facebook) The Whatsapp status of all my classmates was covered with my engagement pictures, and all social media they belonged to wasn't exempted. I felt like I was in heaven as I admired my pictures consecutively. Even the viral pictures of Moses Bliss' engagement weren't compared to mine. I swam the ocean of ecstasy, hallucinating about different famous locations where my wedding would be held regardless of John's financial instability.   That night was as though there was a standstill on earth.
