Epilogue  "Every den has its shadows. When the sun shines and the lamppostss blink to life at night, you can't see it. But if you look close enough, you catch a glimpse of it flitting from corner to edge. "UNN has a cult, or so I thought. I set out to unravel this mystery but I was really just seeking an adventure different from my everyday life. I was chasing a legacy that would hide me from the fears that haunt me daily. Fears of being alone, not wanted and silly. Are '61 was the red tag on my map. It made me shudder just to think of all the scandals I could unearth or forge. I set out to find what wasn't looking for me. Did I find it? No, but I found something better. I found that the world is not as dark and dreary as I thought. I found that people can be trusted. I found that the world is so full of different personalities and to survive in it, we must be tolerant. I found that sometimes, the answer to our questions are the questions themselves. I found tha

EPISODE 1

"Really?" Dr Griffin exclaimed unable to hide his excitement. He kept his glasses on but I could see through the composure. He was ecstatic! πŸ˜„

"Yes, sir," I said with a cool smile.

"That's great news. Congratulations, son!" This time, he happily stretched out his hand for me to shake. I gripped it with some uncertainty. It felt so strange with this happy professor. What of that stern manner I was so used to?

"You know what this means? Wedding rice!" Dr Griffin said with a jolly laugh. I laughed too. πŸ˜…

Good old Dr Griffin. 😌

"She said yes?" he asked.

"Of course, sir," I answered with a chuckle as I remembered the moment she had said that beautiful word. I reminisced and smiled warmly. Dr Griffin caught the look and winked at me. We laughed.

"I'm happy for you, Mr Ekrong. Your home is blessed," he said to my delight.

"Thank you, sir. I... We appreciate, Chenka and I," I replied.

He laughed. "Where is Mrs Ekrong? I wish she had come along. I would have loved to congratulate her personally," Dr Griffin said.

"Em, sir, she..."

"Daddy!"

The office door opened suddenly and a young lady walked in. She was slender and tall, probably 17 years of age. She had a nice complexion which was in between fair and dark. Her hair was braided and packed in a ponytail. Her face was pretty even as she frowned childishly and walked up to Dr Griffin who seemed upset.

"Daddy, I'm angry. I wanna quit school. All my lecturers are old and boring," the girl said as she sat on the handle of Dr Griffin's chair and held him around his neck.

Dr Griffin coughed uncomfortably. He said, "Chinonye, what did I tell you about coming to my office during work hours?"

"Daddy, call me Nono. I told you that's my name now. I can't have people calling me Chinonye. It's not stylish," the girl... Nono said without noticing Dr Griffin's mood change.

I cleared my throat in an attempt to stifle my laughter. She looked up at me as though she had just seen me. She flashed me a pretty smile and said, "Hello."

"Hi," I replied friendly.

"You must be Noah, my dad's favourite student. My daddy talks about you a lot..." she chirped.

"That will be all, Mr Ekrong. I'll have another meeting with you later on. Do greet Miss Chenka for me," Dr Griffin cut in.

"Alright, sir. Thanks for having me. Goodbye," I said to him.

"Bye-bye," Nono replied and waved at me. I grinned and left the office.

Poor Dr Griffin. πŸ˜‚ I pitied him. He was so embarrassed.

"Did he ask of me?" my sweet Chenka asked as I joined her in the quadrangle of VC's office.

"He did," I said as I embraced her. I squeezed her waist a little and she pushed me away. I laughed.

"What did he say?" she asked as I held her hand and we walked towards the library.

"Congratulations, Mrs Ekrong," I said trying to mimick him.

She laughed. "Anything else?"

"Yes. I met Nono Griffin," I said and smiled at Chenka who gave me a curious look.

She asked, "Dr Griffin has a daughter?"
